The high cholesterol: What is this. I had a test result of 6.7. and a GP said it was ok. My mother died of athero schlerosis but he had not even read my note.s Now he has transferred. It must be 4 or under. That is my view. The Govt.,says it must be 5. or under. Are you on statins to keep it low. That is first.
Secondly, don't smoke.
Thirdly, do you need to be on the Pill, is there no other method, such as an internal fitting etc., Take advice not from a GP from from a specialist hospital untit who will know about all the risks.Insist your GP gives you an appt. with a hospital specialist unit. If he/she refuses change your GP. Nothing is more important than your life.
Stop smoking as it is dirty and wrong.

I would use a IUD with just the copper and no hormones in it. Its good for 10 years and you can get pregnant after about 2 mths once you take it out. They are worried about blood clots.
