To tell the truth you can never know exactly how any person really feels.You just take their word for it.It is so sad when they lie and you get all caught up in them for nothing.Love can be shown to you,just watch for signs and you will know if its the truth.Remember if they lie at all, they can lie about love,too.Good question.

I know that when my Hubby says 'I love you' he means it, we've been together for 10 years and married for almost 9 and it's all the other little things he does for me. The cuddles for no reason, the text message just to say 'hi', a little fun gift just because it's sunny today. The way that we've been through years of infertility, and yet he still does those things.
It's all those things that make me know when he says 'I love you' that he means it. I think some men usually find it hard to convincingly say those words when they don't mean it.

It's not what a person says. It's what a person does that proves whether or not they love you. Anybody can say I love you all day long and not really care for and love you at all, but when a person is real from within and proves their love to you that's when you know they mean it.

you have to trust them...i beleiv emy boyfriend truly does because i know he wouldnt lie about something like that! ww were friends for 4 years before dating and going out for about 8 or 9 months before he said he loved me. they are powerful words and we dont just throw them around...besides i know he loves me by his actions not by him telling it to me, i knew before he said it.its all trust and feelings
