Is it possible to forget you have a tampon inside you.?

I was once told by a girl that she was ill because of forgetting to remove a tampon. I didn't believe her. Has this happened to anyone you know.

Yep, she was ill too.theres something called Toxic Shock Syndrome that can be caused by tampons so always remember to take them out.

My sister forgot she had one in. She'd left it in for over a week. She just happened to be going for a check up when the doctor found it and pulled it out. You can imagine the embarrassment! So yes it is possble. She was very lucky that she didn't get toxic shock syndrome though, it's extremely dangerous and can kill you. So be careful.
a friend of mine said she left her in for over a week but i find it really hard to beleive cos for 1.there is a string hanging out and for 2.you are meant to remove tampax after 6 hours to prevent getting tss which can be fatal,so i dont know or not
Yes you could easily forget. Its not as if you can feel it, and it could be easily missed when going to the toilet. I suppose the most likely time would be when your period is just ending, because you might forget that you used one. This has kind of happened to me, but we are talking hours rather than days or something gross like that!
