are sebaceous cysts on the ear cancerous? will they go away on there own?
Answers:
No they are not cancerous, but yes they do go away. Most of the time they go away on their own. If it starts to swell and get bigger, they might end up removing it. Here's a website that tells you everything.

you may need to have it removed by a physician but it is not a cancer
if you are talking about "wens" somehing like a pimple around your ear and smells bad, sorry they just don't go away. They have to be removed by a dermatologist, or it will just keep coming back.
No sebaceous cysts are not cancerous. Sometimes they must be excised and drained. This can be done on an outpatient basis under local anesthetic (freezing).
Are you sure it's a sebaceous cyst, wash your hands first then try warm soaks for about 15-20 minutes every couple of hours and see if it comes to a head and starts oozing out gunk then clean it once it starts oozing with peroxide while gently expressing, then apply antibiotic ointment. Drink more fluids especially water, lay off the sodas and chips and sweets and eat more fruits and vegetables. But sebaceous cyst are not cancerous and if you can,t resolve it yourself you do need to go to a Doctor and have it drained. Good Luck!
