Is it possible that people with anorexia to be acting normal and be irrational at times?

Answers:
When a woman is at a very low weight, her cognitive functioning becomes impaired. Further, many of the things that caused the eating disorder in the first place (trauma, disfunctional family, etc.) may be triggered and the individual may act "irrationally". Like a hungry baby, the person with anorexia may appear cranky, moody and illogical at times, especially when restricting severely.

It's hard to be around, but important to remember that the ED sufferer's behavior isn't intentionally directed at friends or the people they are around. It's part of the disease.

yep. Brain and all that malnutrition is not a great relationship. Also remember anorexia is a mental disorder, obsessive/compulsive, and anxiety.
people who are anorexic have moodswings, it is from the lack of nutrients.
