Should Girls shave their arms?

I was just wondering cuz I have hair on my arms..not a lot but my brother always tells me i should shave my arms and i was just curious about what other people thought.

Do not Shave your arms...wax them...i wax my own and it takes about 5 mins to do both arms myself with Andrea Cold Wax Strips. Stays hair free a lot longer, and whenit does grow back they grow back soft and smooth, shaving your arms will just make the air seem heavier and ull end up having to shave your arms daily! I shave my arms. And it seems pretty normal to me. But you can always bleach your arm hair.

My arms are kind of hairy, and I use bleach (the kind intended for mustaches, facial hair) on my arms, and somehow lightening the hair makes it "disappear" and look less obvious.

no. it's too difficult to shave. If you want to remove the hair on your arms you should use a product like Nair or wax. This is because if you shave your hair becomes more coarse and thicker. The wax treatment and the lotions will cause your hair to grow back fine and less visable if for some reason you were unable to remove it for a few days. Also there is the option of electrolysis that is very expensive. Now if you're wondering if girls shouldn't have hair on their arms, it's your call. We are mammals and we naturally have hair all over our bodies, but I can't stand if my legs get even a little stubble. However, I'm not so worried about my arm hair because it's very fine and light. It is your choice. But shaving your arms will not get rid of the hairs they will come back darker.
Nah, leave the hair darling. I know someone who shaves their arms and as it starts to grow back, it's prickly, itchy and grows back thicker. You would have to shave your arms almost every other day to keep it from feeling prickly.

I would advise some type of hair bleach if you are that upset, but remember the source, it's your brother, siblings can be more judgmental than other people. I am sure your beautiful just the way you are, hair and all! Good luck.
I assume you are talking about your armpits not your whole arms. For pits it depends on where you live. (Don't actually shave your whole arms because that gives them unattractive prickly stubble)

In most places shaving is preferred. If your girlfriends shave their pits and you don't you are going to get a lot of teasing from them for a start. Eventually when you wear sleeveless blouses and care what boys think - you are not going to like what they think about your appearance.

Some places don't care if you shave your pits but if you were in a place like that your brother wouldn't have mentioned shaving.

In other places only prostitutes don't shave their pits, as a sort of advertisement. I hope unshaven you is not in that place.

The other possibility is that your brother is just being annoying and is talking about you shaving your whole arms to be a nuisance.
Armpits? Yes. Arms? NO! Unless you are very strange or a swimmer.

Waxing usually lasts for 3 weeks, but it is painful.
Electrolysis and laser hair removal are "permanent" hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged.

it is each woman/girls choice, me personally i shave my arms, i just feel better with them shaved, to me its more comfortable , it is just natural to me..
