Marijuana during pregnancy?

All of the information I found online seems to be contradictory. This is common with most marijuana information. Physicians or Naturopaths can you give me some insight? I guess I'm looking for any personal experiences, did you or someone you know chronically use marijuana during pregnancy, what was the outcome? How are their kids now, ages, etc? Also if you have any links please list them.

honestly, ismoked during my pregnancy she is now 6 and so stinkin smart.I did ask my dr. about it and of he said not to smoke BUT he has had no experience that marijuana does any harm,he said there really is no 100% proof, just be careful to eat the right munchies

it is very easy, do you want to have a perfectly normal child? if the answer is yes, then do not do drugs (mariguana, included), alcohol, and live a healthy life. If you do not care about the child it is better not to have it...

Don't know. However, If your infant tests positive at birth for THC, they will take your child away (at least temporarily.)

I had a few friends who smoked pot during pregnancy. Thier children turned out just fine. 10 fingers, 10 toes, they can walk and talk and are bright and lively kids. But that does not mean that it is OKAY. Any doctor would tell you the same thing.
I can't see how taking anything like that can be good for pregnancy.
I am NOT totally anti marijuana and I say BAD, BAD, BAD during pregnancy!
My sister smoked marijuana daily during her entire pregnancy. My nephew is now 9 and has developmental disabilities as well as ADD, ADHD, and ODD.
I had a friend who smoked occasionally and her kids turned out fine. The fact is, it's adding another variable to the list of things that could go wrong. Do you really want to take that chance? Can't you just wait 9 months to light up? ANY kind of smoking can inhibit lung development. Don't be selfish.give your baby every healthy opportunity it deserves.

My cousin smoked up until her second trimester. She didn't smoke heavily. she quit after that. Her son is now 5 and is a perfectly healthy rambunctious little boy.

Does that make it okay though?
I know a girl that did. She says and my girls are just fine perfectly healthy and normal. Yeah right! They both have learning disorders that werent noticable until they started school. So what do you think?
The weed will be fed to your baby but if you care about your baby you will do what every you need to do to care about it unless you are just after your own selfish desires.

I have a friend whose wife used marijuana during pregnancy and they've had no problems at all. The delivery was normal and the baby was normal, too. This was 25 years ago, and the kid's grown up into a fine adult.

Only problem is he looks like Yoda.
I believe that the American Academy of Pediatrics says that Marijuana smoking while pregnant has the same effects as smoking cigarettes while pregnant.
It is better not to do it at all while you are pregnant just to be sure that you have a healthy baby. If your child had a problem, you would not want to have to think that you caused it.
Dont do it, your baby needs oxygen, not tainted air, it will die or have birth defects, but more than likely it wont be normal at all
My sis in law and a ex friend of mine smoked pot while pregnant.
There are no major problems with their kids but they just aren't as quick witted as most children.
no this is wrong... cause everyday of ur pregnancy time ur upcoming baby will rising himself with ur good food habits n good care of urself then after 9 months u can have healthy n welthy baby.. so plz dont smoke dont drink dont take any drugs for god sek..
