Where does the IUD go if it is expelled?
If an iud is expelled, would it pass through the cervix? If not, where will it go?
Answers:
An IUD can be expelled out thru your cervix then vagina or it can move up and puncture your uterus.
I've had the Paraguard in for 9 yrs now and love it. No problems.

Depends on where you were sitting. In the toilet? Yes, if it was expelled (very unlikely) it would come out the cervix, and out of your body..but I think that would be a rare event.

I wonder the same thing so I called and asked my doctor. They stated it comes out your vagina, if you're on the toliet it'll come out there, in your underwere. It does go from the uterus into the vagina and finally out the vagina.
