My sister, my mother and I all had those similar pains after going through childbirth. Your daughter seems to be going through her ailment earlier than we did ours. Supposedly it's something that strikes more females than men, and especially after childbirth.

You've gotta read Brooke Shields's book,
"Down Came the Rain". It mentions this very thing, that she had her newborn daughter, Rowan, treated for. If you read the book trade size, it's mentioned on page 52. She doesn't mention the disorder's name, so you may have to do your own research; I'm sure it has a name.

This is what she has to say about it:

"Rowan had been put into a leg and body harness because the balls at the tops of her thighbones weren't fitting properly into the hip sockets. Evidently when women are pregnant, they secrete a hormone that makes their hips widen for childbirth. Sometimes babies, especially girls, react to this hormone in utero and are born with their hip sockets not completely formed."

My mother and my sister never had their
pain(s) looked into, but because I have such a weird walk anyway, I was *really* affected, so I did look into it. My diagnoses included bursitis, arthritis, and many others and not one of them nailed it. As a result, I get to see a chiropractor every 3-4 years to get my hips popped back into place. *That* particular process isn't painful at all, but what I do find to be painful is the lack of an accurate diagnosis and a "cure". I'm tired of being in pain.

I used to know a girl that was a gimp (had one leg longer than the other). I think she grew out of it or something. Also watch out for that 9-11 appointment.
"Avascular necrosis of the femoral head" is common in growing teens.may be caused by trauma. I would get an Xray to rule this out.if it is, it can be easily fixed with surgery.
