Tampons?
i havent used one before, and i want to know if its safe to try it before your period starts again.

It won't hurt you to practice before you get your period. That's what I did when I first started using tampons. I'd recommend getting a box that contains a few different sizes in it, so that you can start with the smallest size. The small ones are the easiest to take in and out, so when you are comfortable doing that, then you can try it with the larger sizes that you'll probably need when your period actually starts. There should be instructions that come with the package that will tell you how to insert it.
Just be sure you take it out right away, as using tampons when your not on your period can cause bacteria to grow and it could give you an infection.
Sure - despite what people say, it won't hurt you to try. But without the extra "moisture", it may be a little hard to get it out. Not to be gross, but you may want to leave it in for an hour or so so it will be "lubricated" enough to come back out. Not to be gross.
PS> tampons are the best invention EVER!
by the way, TSS rarely happens and the risk is the same whether or not you are on your period
Yes, you can try it out. It may tug a bit pulling it out because its dry from not having a period. I would rather try it out before it gets bloody and having to figure it out then...KWIM?
Make sure you change it 3-4 hours after putting it in when on your period
If you really need to try it before your period starts ((which is REALLY unadvisable)) use a non petroleum based jelly and lubricate the tip. Place it as high up in the vagina as you can, until you cannot push it any further. As soon as you have tried it take it out STRAIGHT away. It may be painful, but that is because your tube is not wet with blood and w/e else. It would be easier to insert when you are actually on. Hope this helps xXx
P.S Why can't you wait until you actually start.
no! bad! tampons are for menstration. i know u want to practice but u might get TSS. practice when your flow is heavy. plus i tried this once, i didn't get the tampon up all the way so i went to pull it out and it stuck to my vagina! its absorbant so it will stick until blood hits it. if u do this and try and pull it out, get ready for ALOT of pain.
