When switching brands of birth control pills, is it normal to have spotting instead of a regular period?

I have been taking Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo for a couple years, but was given a few packs of Lutera when the clinic ran out of my regular brand. Now I am in the sugar pills of my first Lutera cycle and instead of my usual 5-day period, I had just two days of barely any bleeding (didn't even fill a lite tampon). I did not skip any days between the two brands.

Yes take a pregnancy test just to be safe and it is normal to have changes in your cycle because the new pill might not be the same strenght as the other ones and your body needs to adjust to the new pill. It should go back to normal in a couple months and again I would do the preganacy test just to be sure it's okay to keep taking the pill.
