Anyone have had ovarian cysts?

i have had over 30 ovarion cyst they are usually harmless but can be painful some will simply go away on their own and i have had some to rupture that was so painful i ended up in the hospital for that a couple of times any one can get them my daughter is 17 now but she has had 1 since she was 15 they can cause scar tissue if they burst and keep coming back alot of it will depend upon the size of the cyst your dr. will probably want to do regular ultrasounds just to make sure it isn't growing or more aren't there but i have never known 1 to be cancerouse birth control pills usually shrink them and sometimes completely get rid of them best wishes

See your doctor asap. I've had them many times. Most of the time they go away on their own, but please see your doctor just in case!
Look up on the internet why they develop and that may help alleviate some of your fears. The egg develops in a sac and when it's released, it can fill with fluid. This is painful, yes, but really there's nothing you can do except take some asprin or something. You need to see your doctor though in case the cyst doesn't go away, or it's not really a cyst, etc.

But My Mum had them when I was younger, trouble was she didn't know and it burst, very scary time!
My Ex-wife also had them, and had treatment, which is what you should do asap.

i have had mutliple cysts on both ovaries as well and it was hell - they say that everyoen gets them and you shouldn't worry - and thaat's what they told me - but it's been 2 years and i haven't gotten a period, and they can't imagine why... do your research don't let docs fool you and just try to medicate you - they just wanted me to get on birth control - but the bleeeding caused by birth control is not a real period as bc prevents you from ovulating; always try to find the root of the problem!
