how do you know if you still have a hymen

Simply – you look.

The hymen is a thin layer of skin that partly covers your vaginal opening, it makes no difference if it is broken or not.
If you make yourself comfortable on your bed with some pillows to prop yourself up so you can see your vulva (external genitals), make sure you have good lighting and use a mirror to help you see better if this is your first time looking at your own genitals.
If you look at your vulva you will see to the back/bottom there is a larger hole, you may need to part your inner labia (inner lips) so get a better view, around that hole if your hymen is in tact you will see a ring of flesh, if broken your hymen will look like little flaps of skin around the vaginal opening – it is different for everyone, some girls/women don't have much of a hymen to begin with, some girls have hymens that cover the opening to their vagina in different ways.
