Reasons for not menstruating when on a progesterone Birth control pill?
Recently, I switched from a combo pill with estrogen and progesterone to just a progesterone one called Micronor. Well.. I am into the final week of the pills (when normally periods start) and I haven't started . at all.. Has anyone else had experience with this and know when a person should start? I know it can be irregular.. but that's the reason I'm taking these pills.. and.. oh btw.. i'm not pregnant. so. what's the deal.. I asked this question last night,, but didn't get many answers.. maybe more tonight?

It is possible when switching to a different birth control to not menstruate at first. Your body takes about 3 months to get used to the new dosage of hormones. If you've taken the pills correctly the whole month then keep on your schedual and if the same thing happens next month talk to your doctor. If you're worried about it you can talk to your doctor now, but I bet there's nothing to worry about.
This method of contraception is called minipill, small dose of progestin alone,no oestrogen, almost no side effects.Pills are taken every day without interruption, whether the lady is menstruating or not, doesn't inhibit ovulation, doesn't inhibit the cycle.Menstruation occurs but irregular, doesn't inhibit lactation.Prefered oral contraceptionfor lactating mothers.Success rate about 97-98%If amenorroea more than 60 days:do pregnancy test.I hope I could help.
Just switching what kind of pill you take can cause irregular periods at first. (I got that from switching -brands- once.) If you're in your fourth week now, you should start getting your period in a few days, but don't worry if you don't. If you have the same problem next month, talk to your doctor to let them know that the pills aren't doing what they should (make your periods more regular).
from what i know its a possible side effect from takeing that type of pill so nothing you should be worried about .its just cause your body is adjusting since you recently switched .if it continues than bring it to your dr.'s attention and they'll probley tell you it will go back to normal shortly .
