How come husbands are not allowed to watch their baby come out of their wives private part?

just a matter of preference really
They stand next to the wife for support
They are allowed to if they want, maybe some just are not comfotable with it and prefer to stand next to the mother for support-hold her hand etc.
My son in law did see my grand daughter born-he stood at the end of the bed and watched her being born as well as i did too.
