Is this normal?

I am a perfectly healthy 21 year old female. I go to my gynocologist regularly to get checked and there's no problems, but sometimes my vagina has a fishy odor (even a few hours after a shower.) It is not really smelly, but just enough for me to notice and i'm sure my ex boyfriends noticed as well. Does anyone else have this problem? I know that all women have their own odor and sometimes it might be fishy if they are unclean (but that is not me.) Any advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance.. Amanda

Go to the feminine hygiene section of the nearest drug store and buy some products and use them. . Bathe everyday too. Twice a day in the Summer. Change your underwear twice a day. If none of this works, go back to the Doctor and discuss it with him/her. You may have some kind of infection.

I am a woman and mine smells like macaroni and cheese, so you are just fine.
douche that sh*t
Yes, it's normal, and the smell can change according to hormonal fluctuations.
use a douche , or even put a little baby powder in your panties
Bodies change and a fishy order is normal and can be hormonal (different times of the month). Also if you have had any recent changes in the foods you eat this could be the cause.
what the blind man say when he walked past the fish market?
spray perfume on your jeans!!
it worked for me!!
Usually a fishy odor means you have an infection, but if your sure there are no problems with that, try to air it out down there at night by wearing loose shorts, or loose cotton underwear.
well i think that you should try seeing other gynocologist if the one you have now is not helping you.
no u may have bacterial vaginosis you need a script from your dr. this is transmitted during sex
that's just you,but if you think its a health problem contact a doctor and keep clean-I'm sure you're not dirty..
It could be a low grade yeast infection, or possibly just your body chemistry. Some people have luck changing thier diet, no garlic, onions, etc.
Have you ask the doc during your checkups?
The most obvious reason is a recent meal of fish of any kind-fresh or canned. Another reason could be a vaginal infection. I've also found taking a bath as opposed to showering, seems to more thoroughly clean the vagina-just an opinion..
There is something wrong there not finding it is not normal for a women to have a bad odor when she has good hygiene unless somethings wrong
What you could have there is bacterial vaginitis. it sometimes is caused by taking long baths in the bath tub instead of using the shower. As bacterial is likely to accumulate in stagnant water.

Ask your pharmacy about a cleanser that you can use.Hope that helps.
go to your gynecologist just to make sure that you dont have an infection.
it is normal.
absolutely normal - just like most of the other chickies have said.hormones.

You should start to worry if it changes colour dramatically & really starts to smell..but it sounds fine...if you're self concious about it...there are personal hygiene wipes available...go to the loo as normal & finish off with a clean smelling moist towlette wipe to help with feeling fresh & smelling like a daisy :)
Everyone had a difeerent odour, so i gues you can say it's nornmal.
it's the level of pH in your vagina is to blame.
my gyne recommended use of lactacyd vaginal gel.
