will proteinsupplements injure a kidney being treated for a kidney infection w/ antibiotics?

recent surgery hysterectomy - resulted in kidney infection feel very weak and depleted lost 6 pounds in one week food not tolerated well - protein supplements are tolerated - will they adversely affect a kidney infection? and how much protein can be tolerated by an infected kidney being presently treated by antibiotics??
