Do a lot of women have self esteem problems?

I have never had issues with the way I look until recently. I just don't feel like I am pretty anymore. I don't know what to do to make myself feel better. Do a lot of girls have this problem?

I work with a teenager who has a lot of girl friends. I have found that among them, the best looking ones have the lowest self esteem. They are jealous and insecure and I am wondering what the hell is going on there! I am in my 30's so I am not over the hill but something has happened in recent years with young girls that i just do not understand! It seems the pretty ones want to be prettier and the not so good lookin ones are out there having fun being normal teenagers without so many hangups. It really weird!

Yes it is normal. If we feel blue about anything we transfer the feelings to our appearance and try to change it.
I have dealt with self esteem issues since preschool. (I am in my early 30's now) I am slowly working on it and I am more confident than I was as a teenager but I still have a ways to go. For me it is a daily struggle.
Cheer up. Females are always hard on themselves and look at themselves in a mirror with a microscope.men on the other hand see themselves as being better daily.
