I also have to have a cyst removed and my tubes tied.So Iam really not sure when I can even start any real excerise.I do walk about 2-4 miles a day I still weigh 175.The c-section was an emergency, didn't find the cyst until Ihad so much pain I called and had an ultrasound.Ijust feel very out of my own body and it's really hard. Has anyone out there been here?I need honest advice, please.

Yes/No.....meaning I had 2 c-sections
You shuldn't exercise for at least 3-4 months after your c-section surgery...your body needs time to adjust from drastic change to it.....My incision was much longer than yours(across half of my body) long time ago surgery, today just a few inches, but still surgery..........
Walking is the best exercise over anything else because it involves the whole body, and you should keep up a good pace(no jogging)....After 3-4 months( or when Dr. says its OK) if you are able start doing 10 sit-ups for 1 week every day..next week add 5 more..third week do 20-25.Keep doing them, plus walking everyday,,,eat healthy(you know no sweets, fats _ lots of fruit and veggies) and it will take time.Don't expect it overnight or in 1 month..It will take time..But you will see results...good luck..

Do yourself a favour and stop worrying about your weight!

You really need to focus on your health and baby and not your image. You are keeping fit and thats is important so that you have the strenght for your future operation.

Abdominal excerises are out of the the question until at least 6 weeks after any operation there.

I think you need to speak to your doctor, as you may be suffering some mild depression.

REMEMBER YOUR HEALTH IS MUCH MORE IMPORTANT THAN WHAT YOU LOOK LIKE!
Hi, first always check with your doctor about exercise. You have to exercise at least three times a week for 30 minutes with a days rest in between and also the diet is very important. You have to remember the only way to lose weight is to burn more calories then you take in. Go to www.slimfast.com and you can print off a menu and a guide to the kind of foods that might help you lose weight. The walking in itself should be helping but you do have to have a good pace going and drink enough water and watch your calorie intake. Myself I do a combination of workouts and frequently change them to give my metabolism a boost. I use a stationary bike and a mat to do half sit ups and leg exercises. Just doing five sets of half sits ups for ten reps. you will notice a difference in a week and cut back on all the bad fats. Hope some of this is of some help. If you have a computer try looking up things about diet and exercise. If you can afford outside help go to www.weightcare.ca Good luck with this, I know it is tough, but don't give up.
