I have hypothyroidism, and I have been on Synthroid .05mg since I was 11 (I'm 20 now) and I have never experienced this. ..Or maybe I just haven't paid attention?

Either way, I'm sure it's normal.
I suppose it could cause a metallic taste. I haven't experienced it and I'm on thyroid meds. Perhaps this side effect may go away in a few months. If it doesn't, perhaps you can try a different thyroid medication.
