Why does sex do this?
It seems the only thing that causes a yeast infection with me is sex. I don't understand how though? I use to get them a lot with my ex. When we broke up I wasn't with anyone for a long, long time and I was fine not one infection. Now I have a new bf and they're back!

Okay, this is so much more common that you think. Try using a lubricant just before, make sure you only wear cotton undies. Keep a supply of the once a day capsules for thrush. Tell the nurse at the docs and see what she recommneds. I drink alot of cranberry tea and dilute to drink cranberry juice. This has really helped/. It wont keep happening. You body will find a happy medium in the end. You just have to find what's right for you.
Try better personal hygiene including a thorough shower after sex.
Make sure your men are clean!!
you have a sensitive poontang, buy some cream
My obgyn told me that its an imbalance in your system and the moisture and wetness from sex can cause them.
Men have yeast infections also but no symtoms get both of you treated at the same time to avoid the vicious cycle of the merry go round.
Thrush..sometimes called the "Honeymoon Disease". Makes sense.
think it is all the bacteria down there, you are both swapping your germs with each other.
Eat a lot of yogurt and don't douche afterwards. Just clean the area and pee it out.
I dont know exactly however spritzing yourself down there with diluted tea tree oil can work miracles for me (got it bad when preggie).
Maybe your partner has the infection aswell. You should both be treated at the same time.
Some people are just more prone to these things, make sure you wear cotton underwear, and don't use harsh soaps etc. Also try to eat live natural yoghurt everyday. Maybe you are having a reaction to condoms ( Assuming your using them), try some latex and lubricant free ones to see if that helps at all.
Go to your doctor and discuss it with him/her. do you use a condom? you maybe allergic to the latex! are you on the contraceptive pill? this can increase your chances of a yeast infection. get your doctor to have you tested for and STD's as they might be the root of the problem. Also washing with soap can cause an infection too so just use plain water and dont clean to vigorously.
The best thing to do tell your Doctor your problem. He or she will help you solve it. But mean while If I were you I would use a condom when having intercourse with your partner.
I have noticed the same, plus a flair up this spring (maybe warmer weather down there? ) lol
Talk to your Gyno - frequent yeast infections may mean something else, but just keep it clean and try eating yogurt, and have extra one -doses around for when the itch starts!
OK, you can get them FROM a guy (if he picked it up from a previous partner..men don't show symptoms usually, just carry the bacteria)..and do you go to the bathroom after sex? If not, give it a try. It's recommended by all doctors because it helps flush the area. Second, your diet could be making you more susceptible to such infections. Try eating more yogurt and less yeast.
The poster above me is right; frequent yeast infections can be a sign of underlying problems, so you might want to see your doctor to rule out other problems.
And don't douche! Douching washes away bad bacteria, but it also washes away the good bacteria..leaving you more open to infections for the first few days after douching.
becasue yeast infections can lie dormant in the body if left untreated. they can also show no symtoms. they are very common though and caused by theings like sweating too. plus it can be treated easilly with Canasten
the bacteria in the yeast infection thrive on heat, the infection can also flare up when using condoms because of the lubricant the manufacturers use, it can also be irritated by biological washing powder, heavily perfumed soap and toiletries, coloured toilet paper and so on. But seek medical advise as it never really goes unless you use medication it may feel like it has but it just lays dormant. The yeast infection is called thrush its "NOT" a disease or an STI so dont worry !
I got them a couple times after I had sex and I didn't know what was causing it.I thought I was the only one it happen to,
can we have sex? i won't give you yeast i promise.
BEFORE AND AFTER HAVING SEX MAKE SURE YOU WASH YOURSELF.AND DRINK PLENTY OF WATER AND SEE THE DOCTOR YOU NEED MEDICAL ATTENTION BEFORE YOU CAN GET SERIOUSLY ILL AND EVEN LOOSE YOUR LIFE.YOU CAN GET IT IN THE CATCH IT IN THE SWIMMING POOL.TAKE CARE LOVE GOOD LUCK.
Maybe it is something inside you that is irrattated by other things going inside you, no matter who'es 'thing' it is.
Get yourself down the local sex clinic, it's free and confidential.
I think the clue could well be with the boyfriend..
Maybe you are sensitive to your partners bodily fluids. Try hot showers before sex, and possibly avoiding sex without pulling out or condoms, even if you are on the pill or other prevention method. I know I am sensitive to my partner's semen, it makes me itch like crazy.
so.. to answer it. the yeast is normal for your body, but is held in check by the acidity of your uh.. special flower. sperm is alkaline (the "opposite of acid") and the shift in vaginal ph allows the yeast to kinda get a better foot hold. if the sperm entry isnt a problem (i.e. pull out, condoms whatnots) the vaginal lubrication would still change the ph, diluting the acidity making the area more basic(alkaline). so heres the plan, drink more cranberry juice, orange juice, and eat spinach with a bunch of vinagar on it
ewwww!
If your using condoms it could be an allergy, try switching brands. Sex does cause the bacteria to grow as they thrive in a warm moist environment so if you have it mildy then your partner will be re infecting you every time you have sex so make sure he uses treatment too. I wouldnt recommend you keep buying expensive over the counter creams, i was getting them constantly and my doc has prescribed me pessaries. I got loads for the price of a prescription and they work so much better. Dont use soaps on your privates or put any in your bath, i found this flared mine up and i avoid soft cheese as this also can cause it. Wear only cotton underwear. Try a warm bath with a few drops of tea tree oil every day, i found this very soothing and it kept infections at bay untill i got on top of it by making my husband use cream for a while.
keep it clean
get your new boyfriend to de-cheese himself before he enters your furry funnel
don't use bubble bath use washing powder for baby's and watch what condoms you use could be them and remember to wee straight after sex has if not that can course infections
Do you use condoms? could be you are allergic to the condom. But please don't stop practising safe sex.
