Why am i starting my periods late?

How old are you? I had some friends that didn't start theirs until they were 17 +. Oh my gosh...you are only 14. Don't worry, it will come and when it does, you won't want it anymore :P
Puberty is a long process. Just because you get body hair, breasts, etc, you won't necessarily get your period right away. Me, I did the opposite...I started my period then the rest of that stuff happened...especially the boobs. I went from nothing to almost a D cup overnight it seems.
don't rush it hun ,you will get tired of having them soon enough=enjoy the time still left to not fret about periods
Each develops according to her own time schedule, which may or may not be the same as your friends or your mother. Consider yourself lucky that you don't have it yet...your body tends to grow more before you get it, I believe. My sister was only 9 when she got hers, and she is 4-foot-7. My mom is only a few inches taller than my sister, and she got hers when she was 13.
