Girls HELP! Shaving problem?
When i shave down there it hurts to shave it after the stubble starts growing. Anyone have anytips about this problem?
Answers:
I'm not female but I have the same problem with my face.you must ensure that it has enough soap or lubricant so the razor can glide over the hair. be sure to go WITH the grain first, then if you want that smooth as baby bottom feel, shave against the grain on the second pass. If it still hurts try pulling the skin taught. Hope it helps.
i could use some tips as well, i have a similar problem.
Shave everyday.
Those are most likely ingrown hairs.
First, try to wash that area really well before shaving. Then, after you shave, wash it again, thoroughly dry, and apply some lotion there.
lol no way gross
use cream and stuff without alcohol after you shave, otherwise you'll get a rush. same pbs here as well.
You could wax (get it done professionally, I tried it once for a home kit and the wax wouldn't come off.) or you could wait a couple days till its not stubble anymore and then shave. if you shave stubble, you could end up with ingrown hairs.
baby oil and powder will stop that
Try taking the razor sideways. sometimes that helps.
are you going against the growth? try going other direction or waiting a cpl more days til it grows in a bit more.
i have the exact same problem.
I dont know, I was looking for other peoples answers, because I have that problem too
I hear bikini zone works well with those pesky bumps
I never shave completely down to the skin for that reason. It itches as the hair grows back, and ingrown hairs can cause painful abcesses. It's better to leave about 1/8 an inch of hair in sensitive areas.
scratch it like it itches . then put some baby oil.its the hairs trying to get by the skin. scratchin helps.
you're probably using a dull razor. i use the venus from gilette and i am always sure to use a fresh blade whenever i shave down there (like change the blade every two weeks or so, and use a different one for your legs so it will last longer). also, you might want to buy some shave gel for sensitive skin. i use that too. after you get out of the shower pat yourself dry and apply some lotion. i use shave minimizing lotion by jergens. do not totally dry out the skin down there before applying the lotion because you have to lock in the moisture to prevent irritated skin.
as it grows back scrub yourself with a luffa to prevent ingrown hairs.
number one , before you shave clean very good it will lighting up the hair, make it flakey , applie baby oil before and after
than baby powder also which would be last thing u do
i have the same problem!! i shave every day and then it sometimes gets really sensitive! i Hate it but i Hate the stuble even more and i love oral sex so it sucks. i like to be smooth down there but ya.. i dont know i always put on baby lotion after but still hurts..your not the only one
First, use a NEW razor - as soon as it starts to get dull (and it will after a few uses on pubic hair), get a fresh one. I recommend using Good News! by Gillette. Sure it's a man's razor, but it works well for me.
Next, don't use a shaving cream. Use instead a thick liquid soap. I prefer Oil of Olay for Extra Dry Skin. Soap up the area and let the soap/water soften the hair a bit before you try to shave. Get it really soapy and make sure there's ALWAYS some suds where you're shaving.
Finally, when it's long, shave with the grain of the hair, then go back and get the stubble close by shaving against the grain. Also, don't shave every day. Every 2nd or 3rd day is good enough - and you won't get those nasty shaving bumps.
My bikini area can not handle the razor either. I need to shave it every day or it hurts, but if i shave everyday i bleed and it hurts as well, so i get waxed, i do a total and only needs to be done once a month, so much nicer down there and less painful
I used to have the same problem - but now I use conditioner. YES! haha it helps to soften the hair & area down there & gets a smoother shave!
waxing is the best way the only actual way to get rid of that problem, it will hurt at first but do it every 2to 3 weeks depending on how fast your hair grows and you wil see a difference also after waxing apply an aloe vera or shea butter based lotion, that will help tremendously.
i had the same problem i switched my razor i use venu vibrance and i dont have that problem any more also beyond fresh female skin conditioner helps i put it on after shaving you get it on the feminine aisle at walmart
Good question! I think the best way is to wax. I use GiGi Honey Stripless Wax. This one is microwaveable and you don't need to buy any strips because you just pull the wax off easily. I use it for my upper lip and bikini area. I haven't been able to do the whole brazilian thing on myself but i'm sure it would be much nicer than shaving. The hair doesn't grow back for weeks. The hair has to be pretty short in order for it to hurt less when you wax, though. So do a clip job first.
The wax comes off really easily if you also get "Wax Off" by Gigi.
Good luck!
Use a small loofa (very gently) so the ingrown hairs won't grow in. You can use a loofa for any other part of the body you shave to prevent ingrown hairs.
Try using a shave cream or gel with moisturizer and not soap to shave, put some antibiotic ointment on after you shave. You could try a hair remover cream instead of shaving.
