Has anyone had menstrual-like cramps for weeks in their late 40s?

Hey...
I'm in perimenopause and have skipped 3 periods in the last 6 months. About a month ago I started having cramps at night that have just not stopped. It's been 8 weeks on Tuesday since my last period. Has anyone else been irritated by seemingly neverending cramps in their 40s or 50s? Thanks!!

it was early 40's (i'm 43) and we fixed it last tuesday. i was diagnosed w/ a uterine fibroid in december. it caused unending cramps, backache, spotting, heavy periods, etc. Also gas, feelings of fullness, nonspecific aches in the abdomen, fatigue.it goes on and on. see a gyno and ask to be checked.it takes an ultrasound to diagnose them, but hysterectomy is not the only answer to them. good luck
My sister deals with this a lot. She is 45 and some months she misses her periods and then has really heavy ones other months. She does still get cramps and headaches. She is very sick of it! She had to have a D&C last month as she was bleeding so bad. I hate it for her - but don't know how to help. I had a hysterectomy when I was 29 - glad I did now!
you can get hormone replacement or progesterone cream, it works great and replaced hormones naturally. Ask your ob doctor first before starting
