if you want to go ahead and start taking it, you need to have your doctor give provera to bring on your period and then you can start your pills. hop this helps.

just wait to take it until your doctor told you to take it

why are you in such a hurry anyway? If you're on it for acne, it take a few weeks before you'll see any kind of result anyhow.
I took birth control simply because my periods were irregular. Check with your doctor, but if it's been a while since your last period, there's no reason you can't start your pack on a Sunday(there's usually what is called a "Sunday starter" or someone who starts the pack the day they get their period. I was a Sunday starter).
I agree it may take a while for you to notice any improvement in acne, but it should regulate your cycle in the first month or two. I start a new pack on Sundays and I usually get my period Thursday or Friday of my reminder pills.
You can go ahead and start them now if you would like it is not going to screw anything up. Best to wait until Sunday to start though that way you should never get your period over the weekend.
