How good is cod liver oil?
Does cod liver oil work for the hair like it says it does of is it just a load off rubbish

Since I started taking FLAX SEED OIL my hair is shiny and thicker. I stay away from cod liver oil because of all the talk of mercury in the big ocean fish.
Cod liver oil was used as a source of vitamens A and D before a person could get it in a tablet or a capsule. It smells and tastes awful. Rubbish
Two of my friends are taking-in cod liver oil capsules for a month but until now they don't see any improvements!
I've had gastric bypass surgery, so I take two cod liver oil pills daily. I dont' use it for my hair though--I take it as a nutritional supplement to get my daily recommended amount of vitamins A & D. If you want something to help your hair and finger nails, try biotin. I've taken that too, and it really does work. :)
