Hi, I would really appreciate anyone's experiences. my husband and I are trying to have a baby, I predicted my ovulation date, we tried, etc. and 6 days after I ovulated I started to experience nausea, dry heve, breast soreness, and fatigue. I am to expect my period on Sunday, I took a test yesterday (thursday) it came out negative. but emotionally I am a mess b/c I am having these "symptoms" can anyone relate?!?!? again, thank you so much for any kind of help, I truly appreciate it!!

The important thing is try not to worry about it too much. You could be pregnant and have taken the test too soon. BUT I had a good friend who wanted a baby so bad that she had a "fake" pregnancy. Basically she had the womb and all the stuff with a pregnancy but there was no baby! Talk about devastating! She even had to have a dnc just like if she'd miscarried. Take another test in about a week (or 2) and I hope you get the positive you want! Good luck ;-)
By the way you CAN know immediately.with both my kids (and a 3rd I lost) I knew when I was walking to the bathroom.just had a gut feeling and sure enough I was (those were the only 3 times I ever had that feeling and none of them were planned and was on birth control all those times too)
First of all I am inclined to believe your "symptoms" are psychological in nature since you are trying too hard at this. It is important to remember that real symptoms don't occur at the time of conception or even at the first missed period. It takes a few weeks since first the fertilized egg must travel down the fallopian tube, implant into the uterine wall and after that the hormones that increase to maintain the pregnancy develop. It is these hormones increasing that cause the symptoms such as nausea. None of this happens overnight. Try to be patient and things will happen in due time. It is not considered unusual for a couple to take up to 12 months of "trying" to conceive. Also remember that pregnancy tests will not work before the missed period again due to the hormone levels.
You can get false negatives from a home test. The home tests measure the ammount of hCG in your urine. If there is not enough it will not register on the test, and in very early pregnancy there may not be enough hormone to show up. Also, home tests can be faulty.
My advice is to wait until your period should start and then test. If you still get a negative, test again a few days latter. If you are still worried call your doctor and ask for a blood test. A blood test is a better way to know for sure if you are indeed pregnant.
