LADIES!! HELP!! BREAsT CANCER?
this involves two people, i have felt a lump in my breast since i was in 8th grade, when i first felt it, it didn't hurt, it didn't bother me at all, so i ignored it. (i didn't know about breast cancer, so i ignored it, it didn't bother at all, so i felt that it wasn't anything important) now one of my friends said that they found a lump in her breast, and she worried because for her, the lump is painful, and shes gonna cheach it out. what are the chances that we both might have cancer, were 16.

It is unlikely because you are so young. Sometimes changes in hormones in the adolescent years cause lumps in the breast. HOWEVER, it is really important that if you feel a lump you have it checked out immediately, just in case. Kudos on doing self breast exams! That shows a lot of awareness and concern for your personal health.
There are many forms of cancer that can happen at any age. You should go and get checked out. You know your body, if you notice any changes go and get them checked out. Breast cancer is nothing to take lightly.
Breast cancer is a POSSIBILITY, but very unlikely. The lumps should of course be checked out by a physician, but they are likely cysts. They could also be caused by drinking alot of caffiene. I had several lumps in my breasts over the last few years, and my doctor told my to cut out the caffiene. I haven't had any since.
Please go to an ob/gyn to get checked out - You will feel so much better.
Some women have naturally lumpy breasts, but if you sense something may be wrong - go with your intuition and do something.
u should go top a doc n get checked n look that if that is painful only before periods n during that is it painful or not or after periods any pain or no pain. it is sometimes due to hormonal changes before, during n after periods. but one should not neglect if the lump is there for long . go n get it checked right now do not risk at this age.
Please, don´t panic. Sure it is frightening, but as long as your moms and grandmas don´t have breast cancer, chances aren´t THAT high. I have a lump also, and it has been there for years now without any changes. My doc says it might be a fibroma (benigne) or a cyst. Go to your gynecologist and show him, but don´t be scared.
Even though it's rare to see someone w/ breast cancer at such a young age it does happen though esp. if there is family history or other factors. Go to the doctor and have it checked out. Be persistant. My best friend (for over 20+ years) discovered a lump in her 20s, had it checked out and was told it was unlikely. About 10 years later she was fighting for her life.chemo didn't help, she lost her breasts, and she died last year.
I'm not trying to scare you but take control of your health. Be persistant and make sure you're satisfied w/ the answer the doctor provides.if not seek another opinion.

Highly doubtful but it is possible. She should not squeeze anything. You both probably have cysts which is normal for women and girls.
For peace of mind ask your mom to make an appointment with a gynecologist.
the chance that you both have breast cancer is small but it is very important to have any lump in your breast checked out hormonal changes can be the cause but better safe then sorry.
tell your mom and go to your doctor
i got a lump when i was about nine and i was kinda worried cuz my mom got breast cancer.
but i am adopted so i wasn't worried but anywayz my mom took me to the Doc. and the Doctor said it was normal i still have those little bumps and I'm not fully developed yet so i think it's ur breasts growing.
