Yes. Anemic women are at a higher risk of bleeding during childbirth.
But Being a vegan does not mean that you have to be low iron.

What does being vegan have to do with it? They have their ways of getting protein like using lentil.

Not to mention - hello - ever heard of pre-natal vitamins? Supplements are used even by people who aren't vegan or preggers. Death while giving birth is very very rare. Even c-sections aren't as dangerous as they used to be.
