You need to have it checked by a medical professional. My husband has had two cysts removed from his neck. Both were harmless. On the other hand, if you have swollen lymph nodes (quite possible if your swelling is on your neck or behind your ears), you definitely need to be tested to find out the cause of the swollen nodes.
