My genitals are numb and I can't feel sex,Whats wrong with me?
Answers:
I'm glad you've talked to your doctor about this... that's a great first step.
First, your doctor should have run some tests to rule out medical problems-- perhaps with nerves or circulation, since that can limit the blood flow to the genitals, which is critical to arousal.
But, I would also offer that the problem may not be entirely physical. Sexual arousal is only about 50% physical-- the rest is mental. And, whether you know it consciously or not, something may be causing you to hold back mentally. In fact, even the hoping (and worrying) about whether or not you'll get aroused can be part of the problem. There are mental health professionals who specialize in this kind of problem... just make sure that they are reputable and check their credentials. (Remember Dr. Ruth?) Most psychologists and psychiatrists have training and experience in working with sexual issues.
Unfortunately, right now there is no medication for women. Some people think that's because female sexual arousal is more complicated-- and advanced =-) than men's.
Talk to your doctor again. Specifically ask him if he has any idea what it could possibly be. If he says he doesn't know, ask him for a referral to someone who can help you.
If he (or she) won't help, you need to find another doctor.
Hope this helps.
