If you have been told you have ovarian cysts.?

and you have an irregular period and the doc just gives you pills to regulate it, and also they help "get rid" of the cysts. have you gotten a period and is just basically pink discharge? and in the middle of your heavies day, a big "clog" a whitish- clearish one, not blood filled.
I was told that is normal, but this isn't normal for me.
should i get a second opinion or is it really normal?

Answers:
i would get a second opinion just to reassure yourself. i have had several ovarian cysts rupture and they are nothing like what you have described. they are painful and never really have any discharge that i ever noticed. my periods are regular and always the same. just might want to get a second opinion, either man or woman, but in my opinion, men are more gentle and try to be more understanding.

no
no

i don't know
I have reaccuring ovarian cyst that rupture. It is painful for a few mins afterward but goes away. I stopped taking birthcontrol and had my tubes tied. The doc then decided I needed to be back on the pills but I had them even when I was on the pill so I decided not to. I have just this year had a hysterectomy but kept my ovaries and can still get cyst but it is less likely now. I still have "cycles" but no blood. I am glad I did it as I had a fibroid and a varicose vein on my uterus. I would get a second opinion if I were you. I got 3 opinions before my hyster.
get another dr. and a female one is better
Sorry, that you are having a hard time! I hope that you have good insurance. If so then you need to see a specialist in this field. This is something that you need to research on the Internet, and ask your female family memebers what there history is! I hope that my advice helps. This sounds horrible, and you need professional help.
