How do I go about doing a background check on a Dr?
Does anyone kow how I can check and see if there are any complaints against a Dr or clinic?
Answers:
call your local state board of medicine.
they will tell you if the doctor has any complaints filed, if he/she is on probation etc.
Go to www.docinfo.org, www.castleconnolly.com, www.drscore.com, and www.abms.org if he/she is a specialist. Call your state board physician certification or even your insurance to find out where he/she did his residency etc. There are several ways, these are only a few mentioned in a book I just purchased from my local Barnes an Noble called "Healthcare for Less" by Michelle Katz. Te book is great if you want to find the right doctor, insurance, or just save money in healthcare. You can also purchase it cheap at www.amazon.com.
