what is the best way to tell someone that your son died?

it seems wrong to say I lost him because I didn't lose him I know where he is. also how can you explain that a 16 year old died of natural causes what is natural about a 16 year old dying?

I don't know if you believe in heaven, so not sure this is appropriate for you. T

I always perfer directness, tell the person that your son died whenever he did or you could say he passed away.

I've always found it difficult to use the term "died" in the same sentence as a deceased loved one, so I'd say "passed away". If I had to explain what caused him/her to pass on, I will definitely have to tell the truth. Natural causes, however, will cause for the person whom you're telling it to to probe for answers, so just say, if your son died of a heart attack, just say he died of a heart attack.
I'm sooo sorry about your son dying... please just tell the people the truth.because it is..you don't have to elaborate on it.if they start asking questions..don't answer them.they will get the message..
