Anyone else stop sleeping and eating for a few days?
I know.I'm on meds. But can anyone relate?
I feel like poo. I quit my job. I've been the most type-A person you could know. Perfect grades. Perfect jobs. At the age of 27, I've just walked into work and quit.
It's burnout. But I think it's time that I find out what I really should be doing.
My dad is bipolar, so this kind of crap runs in my blood. I just like to think of it as a quarter-life crisis.
I feel much better since I quit. Looks like I will be waiting tables at a bar for now.just to pay my bills.
It's better than teaching in the ghetto though.

stress can be a factor. have you been stressed leading up to you quitting work? maybe you should consider seeing a councillor. nothing wrong with doing that. i've often thought about it myself.

Teaching in the ghetto? No wonder you're on meds. You can toss the meds cuz you're no longer teaching in the ghetto. Your system will return to normal in a few days and you'll be happy as a clam counting your tips.
I admire the fact that you took this decision to save your skin and maybe your life. It takes a lot of strength and courage to make this move. I am sure things will work out fine for you on the long run. Waiting tables or any simple job will take your mind of of things, it will provide you of a clear vision again of what you really want in your life. Then you can start building your own happiness which is likely to last this time.
