What can be found from a hair specimen test besides marijuana use?

i do not use marijuana but i am applying for a new job and i use controlled substances for a mental illness and i dont feel they need to know this and i am afraid they will find this out!

Answers:
They don't need to know. Bring a copy of your Rx to the TESTING lab. And/or get a list from your MD stating: This patient recieves this med by prescription, please do not report the pressence of this metabolite in your results to the employer.

The testing lab does need to know,. but the new bos does not.

As far as what can come up: Almost everything. Benzos for sure. Some psychotropics. SO... if you want this job... talk with the lab or HR, and tell them you have some scripts. It is illegal to discriminate.

Also... if you dye your hair, it will f up the test! :)
There test are fairly specific, they are checking for illegal substance abuse. Don't worry.
Amphetamine/Methamphetamine, Marijuana, Cocaine, Opiates and Phencyclidines is what they usually detect. That is what the 5-panel hair screen looks for, and that is what they normally use.
alcohol, and drugs. i think they will find out, but i say you should tell them before they tell you and they think you are lieing to them about stuff.
