I get that a lot - it is so annoying. It is not life threatening, they are toying with you. you might want to mention it to your doctor if it continues incessantly. Otherwise it will go away on it's own.

Look up tinnitus.. it is ringing or hearbeat in your ears.. could be infection or high blood pressure.. very rarely it could be a tumor in your ear canal ( tumor, not cancer ), look it up, then go to the doctor.

Is it Tinnitus, a ringing from too much aspirin or pain killers, or a throbbing associated with stress? If it persists, and it could be simply veins swelling and contracting, see a doctor!
Your eardrum is sensitive to something - probably an ear infection. Most adults can get through it without meds - but if it persists then see a doc.

I am being treated for an ear infection with antibiotics. I had the same problem.
ear infection. i had middle ear last year it was horrible. u need to get looked at immediately.
