accurate body weight?

When I weigh myself on my scale at home I weight xxx pounds when I weigh myself at the mall using the quarter operated scale at gnc I weigh almost 20 pounds more! Ugg! I'd like to think that my home scale is more accurate. Here's my theory. Of course the scale at the gnc is going to weigh in at a higher poundage it helps them sell diet products.

Answers:
Trust your scale or your doctor's scale. Scales in the mall and in front of stores are not checked to make sure that they are reading accurately and if they aren't selling items that need to be weighed there aren't any guidelines over seeing their use. That and the fact that they get abused by people jumping on and off of them. As for whether a retailer would do change the weight just to sell products . bet it happens more often than people would like to think.

yup that's why it's outside of the GNC your scale at home is accurate! trust me I know
The important thing is to weigh yourself on the same scale so you can judge if your gaining/losing weight. Twenty pounds difference is ridiculous and you're probably right about the selling point. Also, you can tell by your clothing size, etc. if you are twenty pounds overweight or not. It is frustrating though.
Trust your home scale over GNC's
how old are you?if you are btw the age of 15 - 20 . you should weigh 55kg-60kg on your home scale.and if you are btw the age of 21-35,you should weigh 60-75kg on your home scale.for get about any other type of scale other than your home scale.
I would go by your home scale..even if the weight is not that acurate if it says 130 lbs and in about 3 weeks it says 125 then you know no matter how much you really weight that you have lost 5 lbs!
