YES,YES,YES. I have five children and with my first two i developed my first hernia then by the last one i had to ingunial groin hernias one on my left one on my right.hernias after a while start to pop and burn like when you use the bathroom or lift anything.umbilical hernias are more common in woman, but they can get ingunial hernias they are just more commom in men.so i just had double hernia surgery so yes to you Q&A. I didn't no any of this info until two months ago.if you have instant messenger i can answer any other Q&A that you may have.i'm no doc but have had this procedure done.there is no risk to your pregnancy. just take care of it after

It has never happen to me personally but it has to my sister and she said there was no risks or anything but she was just in alot of pain. Everything was fine for her.
I also developed a hernia (abdominal) during pregnancy- had it repaired 2 years later, NO BIGGIE! Mine did not bother me too much, after birth- seemed to "almost" go away. If yours is really painful, by all means get it repaired now, but don't expect them to give much in the way of pain relief after surgery- it's really a simple procedure- but while you are pregnant, I'm sure it is a bit more complicated, best of luck whatever you decide!
I had a friend who had one. there was nothing that could be done until after she had the baby. Congrats on the baby!
