are antibiotics affected by heat?

i forgot to take my prescription out of my car and left it there all day in the Arizona heat. Now i am wondering if the meds are still effective

More than likely they are OK. Prolonged exposure to heat or light is what can break the chemical compounds down rendering them ineffective. One day in the car won't hurt. Think of all the people who go to run errands and pick up the Rx first and it stays in the car all day.
