Very Good Question
Testosterone.
It stimulates production of hair while at the same time reducing blood flow to the scalp.

Because of extra Testosterone, we're also much stronger and more virile than ordinary men.

(That's a wig I'm wearing).
Its all to do with hormones and testosterone.
While high testosterone levels casue the typical body hair growth in men (and some women), producing too much testosterone actually causes baldness on the head in some men. These men have large amounts of body hair, but no hair on top.
It should also be pointed out that men that don't grow body hair are often lacking in this important male hormone.
Lol, I've often wondered this too! I think it's to compensate for their lack of head hair maybe?
Have you noticed they also have beards? That¬s because their heads are on upside down.
Higher testosterone causes increased body hair, but balding on the head, hence why bald men are supposedly more virile and women with high testosterone get more hairy.
can,t answer that but my body hair grew mutch thicker and longer when i went bald. ive wondered that queston myself.
that's an interesting question, Ive never thought about it. i don't really an answer apart from well done for being so observant.
its teh testosterone. it makes tehm bald on top but hairy everywhere else. it also makes them much more virile.

it is also why a lot more women are attracted to bald men. yul brynner? drool ..
Gravity--the hair is drawn down leaving the head hairless..
Unfortunatly for some, that is a case of unlucky genetics! It is your DNA that tells your cells what to become and where to become it, and male pattern baldness is completely hereditary, as is the amount and type of body hair a person has.
