does anyone suffer from insomnia?
I suffer from this every night. I need only 2 hours of sleep or less to function. I have talked to the doctor, and am taking xanax at night. Problem is, I dont want to take meds. I would rather re-teach my body how to fall asleep and stay asleep, without medicine.
Have any of you had this problem? What did you do to teach your body to fall asleep? What did you do when you woke up?
Is there a non-addictive sleep aid out there that will help me? I have tried Lunesta and that stuff leaves a NASTY taste in my mouth for the entire next day.
any home remedies?

Try this relaxation technique, it should help you fall asleep, if you wake up start it again.
hot tea or a cold beer
Melatonin (over the counter at Wal Marts) works for me! But don't use it every night because it won't work. I know where you are coming from. Also make bedtime as stress free as possible, listen to some music in bed and don't eat too late.
Yes I suffer from insomnia - Why else would we be up all night asking questions on AnyQA.coms?
Yeah, I suffer from it too. My doctor put me on Lunesta, but I haven't been able to get into him so I ran out and can't get any. I've tried many things but no other medications or techniques have worked. I go to bed around 4:30 and wake up around 6. (and that's on a good night) Hope you find something that works.
