Is drinking too much coffee and water bad for your kidney?
Since I quit smoking, in order to fill up the "5 mins time gap" I develop a habit of drinking coffee and water when I am working on my desk. I can drink around 2 litres of water and 3 cups of coffee in around 4 hours time! One night, I drank a record level of 5 litres of water. A friend of mine told me that I can damage my kidney by drinking too much water and spoilt my heart by drinking too much coffee! Can someone verify this for me?

Water is always good for you.it's hard to "overdo" it. You're lucky! I wish I could get down enough water every day, but I just don't care for it much. Only 3 cups of coffee in 4 hours time? You're doing good. Don't worry about it. Your co-worker is a hypochondriac. It's a hell of a lot better than smoking! Something tells me that co-worker is a smoker?? <<LOL>>
That is not true. Drinking water will help you to cleanse your liver, so alot is good, its like exercising a muscle, it will only grow and become healthier. Coffee speeds up your metabolism, so a little is good. if you are worried, switch over to decaf.
P.s. good for you for quitting!! Congrats and kutos.
water is suppose to be great for cleaning out a system and not bad. Coffee on the other hand is bad for the caffine can damage your system somehow if taken in to much.

Drinking to much coffee is bad for you.its bad for your liver and heart. But water is good for you and its good for everything in your body.drink water everyday
I think the caffeine in the coffee can make you hyper, but the water is OK. Too much coffee can also affect your blood pressure and that is not good.
