Why does asparagus retain its smell when one urinates?

Just wondering what the explanation is for this occurence. Most foods lose their smell once they've been digested, but for some reason asparagus still smells strong. I've noticed tuna does to some extent too. Why? Thanks.

Answers:
The oils pass through the urinary tract. After this happens a few times, the smell never goes away.
