Does anyone out there have PLANTAR FASCIA? HEEL PAIN?

What have you tried to cure it?

Answers:
good shoes and stretching exercises help alot

Heel pain can be caused by stress placed on the plantar fascia ligament when it is stretched irregularly, which causes small tears and inflammation to develop. Stretching and strengthening exercises can help the ligament become more flexible and can strengthen muscles that support the arch, thereby reducing the stress on the ligament.
Exercises for plantar fasciitis—in combination with other steps such as resting, avoiding activities that aggravate heel pain, using shoe inserts, icing, or taking pain relievers—usually succeed in relieving heel pain.
Exercises for plantar fasciitis may be especially helpful for reducing heel pain when you first get out of bed.
If you have questions about how to do these exercises, or if your heel pain increases, talk to your doctor.

Stretching exercises before getting out of bed

Many people with plantar fasciitis have intense heel pain in the morning, when taking the first steps after getting out of bed. This pain comes from the tightening of the plantar fascia that occurs during sleep as a result of sustaining pressure from being on your feet the previous day. Stretching or massaging the plantar fascia before standing up can often reduce heel pain.

Stretch your foot by flexing it up and down 10 times before standing.
Use a towel to stretch the bottom of your foot (towel stretch

you need to get fitted arch supports from the good feet store, and wear well padded cross trainer type shoes, and stay off your feet as much as possible.
I don't but, try seeing a chiropractor
I've had it since I was about 18 . I'm now 56. I've tried just about everything, including several custom made orthotics and surgery (both feet got infected. two more surgeries; net effect - negligible). I've tried $150 shoes and cheap sandals . but what I wear the most, and have been the most comfortable for more than 20 years are Okabashi weave sandals, usually less than 10 bucks. They're incredible.
Several months ago I moved to Maui and hardly ever wear shoes . can't stand to here! I go barefoot a lot because it's the custom here to remove shoes before you go into a house. I've learned not to give into the stiffness and pain, but to concentrate on flexing my feet properly when walking. Also, A BIG HELP, has been the trails I've been walking. mostly in my Okabashi's .. rocky, sometimes treacherous, always UNEVEN surfaces, which keep the foot flexing and strong. I've learned (especially from my brother, a noted physical therapist) that flat, hard surfaces in modern society are just about the biggest enemy of healthy feet.

I guess I'm just a tough case. I'm sure simpler therapies and surgery work for many people. But I can only advocate a simple, molded rubber sandal, and "back to nature". Good luck. I know so well how miserable your condition can be!
plantar fascitis- inflammation of plantar fascia, is common. can be caused by improper footwear, where the body weight distribution is not correct, or due to an activity that causes the fascia to be stretched beyond the elastic point. u should see wat footwear is the most comfortable, do some mild stretching exercises of foot and toes. contrast bath(10mins hot water followed by 10 mins of ice-cold water) daily twice. if this doesnt help much, go to a physical therapist, ultrasound should so good. take care..
