Why do I have so many problems sleeping?
I have been having problems to sleep lately. I think that is b/c of bills. But someone told me that it's b/c I am anxious. I dont feel like I need to sleep, I stay till about 2am on the internet, and then I wake up around 6:45am w/o any problems. But during my sleep I wake up and turn and turn, and it's hard to get some deep sleep. I work 40hrs a week and go to school but it seems like I dont need to rest. I just want to know if some of you have experienced this feeling and how took care of it. B/c I know I need to rest, but my body just doesn't feel like I need any sleep.
Help, plz.

when your sleep deprived, your body makes 'emergency' hormones.. to make you stay awake. it's possible that your body does not stop itself creating these hormones. i don't really know. there are also emergency 'go to sleep' hormones which can kick in at any time when your not moving alot (which is why it's dangerous to drive tired) but when i had insomnia aged 15 i didn't seem to produce these at all.
i put my problem down to being a teenager and now i'm 18 and i've pretty much grown out of it. as for your reasons. you could ask your doctor. you could try cutting back on the caffeine and sugar (if your thinking that you can't do that, then it's probably the reason).
has it been going on for more than a couple of months? if so, see your doctor. does your brain feel numb? if so, you really need to see your doctor.
it could be a hormonal disorder but it's most likely a mixture of anxiety and unhealthy diet so try to get people to help you out, keep you calm and relaxed. don't do any more work than you have to, don't spend too much money, don't get too drunk and try to go for that 'healthy balanced diet' thing. try lots of red meat - iron is good for insomnia. and 5-a-day fruit and veg. because vitamins help everything.
hope you get better. and hope i helped. and hope you can get away with not having to see the doctor cuz that's no fun.
Try going to bed at midnight and see if that will help
Go to bed at the same time every night and get up at the same time every morning. Try that. It helps me..
i have the same problem, im sleeping less then 5 hours a night. it is the anxiety and it keeps you thinking and pumped up so you can't sleep. best thing you can do is chill out at night and try to take your mind off everything, watch a movie or tv and you will just pass out for 10 hours after a while
i have the same problem, i think its restless mind syndrome because i a, always thinking about things and even at like 2 in the morning im not tired. they have a pill called lunesta that treats restless mind syndrome, talk to your doctor about it.
You need to do something more relaxing then internet before you sleep. It seems relaxing, but being on the computer all night before you go to bed isn't a good idea. Drink some milk, read a book, listen to some soothing music, watch TV, or or take a bubble bath before you want to sleep. Reading a book isn't even a really good idea, actually, because you're still keeping your mind busy. Try to get enough exercise during the day so you're tired, and relax when you go to bed. And I wouldn't stay up so late, either. :) Try to get more of a normal sleep pattern going on.
try goin' to bed before seven in the evening.. and try 2 wake up very early in the morning and do the rest of ur work
invite me over ill wear ya out,or smoke a joint ,bong etc before bed,or take some tylenol pm
i guess if you dont feel tired . its ok i stay on the net till 2 . and up at 7 am .. i m ok
U R IN LOVE
your clock probably needs to be reset. your overtired and not getting enough hours. why do you stay up til 2am? you need 8 hours of sleep to be healthy and for your body to function optimally. also take a look at your diet. no caffeine after 6pm and no carbs after dinner. how about medications or supplements? maybe one of them has a side effect of insomnia.
Was in your shoes years ago and followed the advies of my doctor, did not use any sleeping aid, and seldom have the problem now.
Sleep is vital to the body, allowing the brain to relax and recover.
The best way to solve sleeping problems is to go to bed at the same time each and every day, and get up at the same time each and every day.
Get off the internet at least one hour before you go to bed. Allow your mind to start winding down. Don't eat before going to bed except maybe a glass of milk which has enzymes called triptophane that help you relax.
No TV or reading in bed. Bed is for sleeping and sex, nothing else.
NO napping during the day, not cat naps, now power naps. Reteach your body when to go to sleep and when to wake up. From everything I have read, six hours is the minimum need for your body and mind to stay healthy.
Your sleeping problem isn't from bills or being anxious. It's the high stress levels you are under from working and going to school while maintaining your grades. Your body is literally thriving on adrenaline because of the stress.
I've experienced the same thing working extremely long hours (120 per week) for 2 months. Once the situation settled down (happy client) my body literally caved in. I went home sick and stayed sick for an entire week.my body took that long to recover. You might consider cutting back on the hours you are working so you have time to rest.
If you don't do something to slow down now you will make yourself very sick.
Some days back I had the same problems.
Do what I did. Go to bad breath deepllllly at list 20-25 time it will help.
