what happens if??

what happens if u drink a drink w/ mold in it.. my friend did it at school and now she is scared?? wat will happen??

it was in Gatorade and water..

and do u know anyone or hve 2 done it be4??

Seriously, we have an immune system that takes care of the odd things our bodies get exposed to every now and then.
Dirt, mold, a swag of bad milk, gum off our shoe when we were six (shhh)

She'll be fine. Mold is no biggie in small amounts, it's just gross.
Unless you have a severe mold allergy, eating mold isn't a serious threat. The bacteria in the mold isn't likely to survive in the acidic environment of the stomach.

The worst that's likely to happen is some mild gastro-intestinal distress.

If your friend was badly allergic to mold, she likely would have had an adverse reaction within minutes.
Ick. Nothing really bad should happen, it could just pass through her system. If vomiting and diarreah occur, she should see a doctor.
I drank cloudy apple juice once and it turned out to be mold..that was like 7 or 8 years ago and I'm still kickin! ;) she'll be fine!
mold is used to make medicine, why would some in a drink hurt anyone.
