Anyone sitting at the computer for long periods of?
time may get a pain in the right arm or neck, if so how do you alleviate the pain?
I use tiger balm, it does the trick and smells wonderful. Can be bought at some chemists for about £4.00. It is also good as a rub for most muscular pains.
Answers:
tiger balm is good. thanks.
and i try to close my eyes for a few minutes when the monitor begins to strain my eyes.
thanks
THANKS FOR THE TIP IM GOING TO NEED IT JUST FOR THIS SITE
It may cause strain for eyes too. So look far object evry now and then, do relax ur eyes after a while. ;)
yep. me too.
only I also listen to musicon headphones and sit upright as much as I can in order to support head and shoulders and alleviate pressure on the neck and spine.
Also, try not to have your screen at an angle. as it doesn't help to twist your neck too much.
I try and move the position of my chair or the computer screen so that my body is not always having to strain in the same direction.
A hot bath often makes my muscles relax.
Unfortunately I get big red burning patches from Tiger Balm, but do like the relief it gives.
Yoga also works at stretching out the pains caused by seizing up at your desk !!
\thannks and i thinbk it also causes head aches and eye pains too so you need to look beyond only balms.
thanks

get up, walk around, do some stretches. also make sure you have the correct posture while in the chair..maybe a pillow behind your back and sit up straight. a visit to the chiropractor or deep tissue massage therapist my do you well.
deep heat is also good for this .

Thank you. The best remedy is to take regular breaks, for your eyes' sake as well as your joints.
