What was the longest time you spent straight without sleeping?

Answers:
2 and a half days. I worked 2 jobs, my first one started at 6 am, and my last one ended at 3:30 am. this went on for two and a half days. On my drive home, finally, I actually started falling asleep at the wheel and hallucinating. Scary stuff.
my longest period of time was 36 hours..
when i was young and partied all night and worked all day
could go like that for 3 or 4 days
It was about 22 hours and I was in the hospital. Not all day but once you get there it is so hectic you can not sleep till you go home or they admit you.Cups of capp.helped alot too.
44 hrs. A few times near that. 36 is not uncommon. They've tried giving me pills for it even.

It was about 24 hours because i went on a church trip and the bus was so cold after it rained that i could not sleep!
not too long.only 27 hours :( I stayed up with my cousins all night before an early morning flight and I was super cranky to say the least.
3 days. spent the whole time fishing and dranks lots of tea and coffee.
from Thurs. at 5:30am until 4am that following Mon. All the time when I was in my 20's
48 hrs straight up during my engg. finals , hopped up on coffee and ciggs not the best time of my life , last 3-4 hrs were pure torture.
I was 16 and was at a summer program at Cornell University in my Junior Year of HS. I stayed up for 5 days straight. They had this cola called Jolt Cola which claimed to have 2x the amount of caffeine as Coca Cola and I was taking Vivarin caffeine pills too. After 3 days I started to hallucinate. I swear on the 5th day the floors and walls looked like they were moving. You walk inside this daze. Near the end I just wanted to push myself to the brink to see how far I could go. I thought I had to sleep for 3 days to recover, but I slept for about 12 hours afterward. Much of that time is a blur, but after that experience I never tried pushing myself without sleep- you pay for it later.
