toughen up,get in touch with reality & nature & call me in the morning. You don't need medication,you have the strength within yourself to overcome any emotion.Or climb a tower w/a sniper rifle.

If you have no objections to medication then discuss the prozac option with your doctor. If not find out about Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. It makes you look at your thought processes. It sounds stupid but is actually very interesting and is an eye opener when you do it.
get a hobbie, get a girlfriend/boyfriend, excersice, stay busy, work, listen to music alot, sing and dance, smile for no reason, watch a funny movie, go for a walk, read a good book, pray, have sex or masterbate, call a good friend, get a puppy or cat to pet, if nothing works go to the doctor and get on an anti- depressant..but try not to have to resort to that one unless you have to.

Different things work for different people. Try and pay attention when you find yourself feeling a bit relaxed what got you there. It could be a phone call with a friend or other socializing. It could be a walk. It could be playing music. You can lie down, breathe slowly and repetitively, while imagining a nice scene, beach or meadow. Generally speaking, incorporate socializing, exercizing, and some form of play, even TV (not news), into your life daily. And know this, there's only so much thinking you can do about your problems. Thinking around the clock is counterproductive, so be sure you are allowing yourself to de-stress.

Simply, don't let it in!! Is too difficult a battle to get rid of it once you allow it to enter your mind. As long as you entertain it, it will hang around. Your mind must be capable of going in a different direction.. find it.

Not easy, getting balance in your life goes someway towards it. For me , Music helps and my allergy tablets have a mild anti anxiety effect so takes the edge off things but it's best to identify situations that trigger the stress and anxiety to minimise the worst bits which isn't always easy.
i play with my pets, take a long hot bath, listen to music, make jewelry, garden, talk to my family and friends.
everyone has their own way to de-stress, you just have to find your own way! do something you enjoy.

Mainly by screaming blue murder at other drivers, shouting at my husband & then drinking large volumes of wine. I also find gratuitous swearing most beneficial.
The best way seems to be exercise (and I don't mean running away from road rage incidents or to off licences).
